When parents commit suicide or are relocated to a nearby town or city to work, the children suffer the most. They have no idea why it is happening or the weight of the responsibility that has been placed on their frail shoulders. They are compelled to drop out of school at a young age in order to make ends meet. The young hands must rise to the occasion in order to preserve the family. It could be herding livestock or working on someone else's farm for a measly Rs 50 per day.
